The epicyclic gear train consists of a driving shaft and pinion (1,3), satellite pinions (4), unidirectional crown wheel (7) and clutch (14,15). The clutch operates between the crown wheel and a satellite bearer wheel (5) attached to the output shaft (6). At high speeds increasing centrifugal force acting on plates (31) opens the clutch, lowering the gear ratio which is restored to direct drive at lower speeds. Heavy accelerator pressure operates an electromagnet (123,124) which delays clutch opening as does high input torque through an axial force (FAC) at the helicoidal gears (7). <IMAGE> |
