A wrist bandage worn during athletics or sports activity comprises a case-shaped body (1) made of flexible material (6) with a cavity for a stabilising inlay of relatively stiff material. The bandage is placed around the bottom end of the forearm, wrist and part of the hand in order to stabilise the wrist and reduce the risk of it breaking as a result of forces applied to it. The stiff material inlay extends along the forearm and hand sections with a splint-shaped section on the inside and a conformable groove-shaped casing section surrounding the splint-shaped section on the outside, so that the inside and outside of the bandage are kept together when the bandage is placed over the wrist and tightened. Preferably the flexible material is neoprene rubber. |
