The tongue and lip holder has two retractor sections (1, 2) curved in such a manner as to match the left and right halves of the mouth in order that the lips are held right along the length of the upper and lower jaws. The proximal ends (3, 4) of the retractor sections are located adjacent to each other and are held together by a spring wire hoop (8) which forms the shaft (6). On the shaft is a handle (7) formed by two parallel wires which are joined at their lower end in a bow shaped section (9) and extend at the other end in a fork like manner on both sides (10, 11) to join the retractor sections via bent sections (12). The distal ends (13, 14) of the retractor sections are wider than the proximal ends (3, 4). |
