FIELD: protection of ships against influence magnetic mines. SUBSTANCE: degaussing rig compensates for external static field of ship during her navigation. To enhance economical efficiency and improve ecological parameters of ship, degaussing rig is switched on only when magnitude of average mechanical stresses acting in ferromagnetic hull of ship exceeds preset maximum value and when stability of magnetic state of ship is impaired. Average magnitude of mechanical stresses is determined as arithmetical mean of readings of at least 8 strain gauges smoothly located along length of ship. Degaussing rig for realization of this method is provided with automatic switch of currents flowing in coils of degaussing rig, comparator unit, adder and strain gauges. EFFECT: improved ecological parameters of ship and reduced power requirement for degaussing rig by approximately half as much. |
