FIELD: apparatuses for rails grinding, production of apparatuses for grinding of roughness on rail head surface in particular. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for grinding of roughness on rail head 9 surface has: apparatus frame 2 rested at movable carrier, bearing grinding aggregate guiding frame 14 linked with apparatus frame through vertical motion drive 17 and using rim rollers 15 for motion on rail 18. Grinding aggregate 18 has grinding band 25 pressed to surface by rail head 9 using pressing member 28 and with band ends wound on spare coil 26 or collecting coil 27. Grinding aggregate together with spare coil 26 and collecting coil 27 is moving horizontally in respect to guiding frame 14 and in longitudinal direction of apparatus and is linked with guiding frame 14 through driving device 21 to fulfil oscillating operational movement imposed on apparatus motion.
