FIELD: production of super light heat-sound-insulating materials based on mineral fibers, glass fibers in particular, the method is used for covering of aeroplanes fuselages, motor cars and busses saloons and as heat-insulation in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, instrumentation engineering, dwelling and industrial buildings erection. SUBSTANCE: aim is to decrease mats volumetric density, to increase their elasticity and resistance to separation into layers. Method provides for formation of primary layer from fibrous mass of mineral fibers on receiving surface of first conveyer band, that moves at definite speed; formation of mat with given surface density on receiving surface of second conveyer band, that moves at speed mush higher, than speed of first conveyer band, and compaction of mat to given thickness; formation of primary layer with density equal to 1 - 20 % of surface density of final mat is exercised using mineral fibers of 0.5 - 3.0 mcm diameter. Before mat formation primary layer fibers are divided for small portions, transferred in suspended in the air state, applied with sprayed binder. After formation of mat on the band its volume is expanded and compaction of the mat is realized using its two-stage thermal treatment. In the case at first stage thermal treatment is exercised under temperature below temperature of binder polymerization and at second stage thermal treatment of mat is exercised simultaneously with premoulding under temperature equal to temperature of binder polymerization. Aim is also achieved due to realization of following conditions: - thermal treatment of mat at first stage is exercised under temperature by 30 - 50 C below binder polymerization temperature; - after mat formation with given surface density mat volume increase operation is exercised till achievement of its volumetric density of no more than 6 kg/m. EFFECT: decreased volumetric density, increased elasticity and resistance to separation into layers. |
