FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, device for controlling flow rate of metal supplied from pouring ladle. SUBSTANCE: slide valve has metal pouring cup mounted in ladle bottom, movable and immovable fireproof plates with through openings, mechanism for biasing one plate toward the other plate, intermediate fireproof plate disposed between pouring cup and immovable plate and provided with annular conical projection, and movable plate drive. Intermediate plate with flat surface at side adjacent to pouring cup, is made from corundum magnesite-chromite material and is connected to pouring cup by mortar. EFFECT: increased strength, simplified repair and enhanced reliability in operation of slide valve. |
