The invention relates to a process for modifying the surface of titanium with biopolymeric films of high humectability, meant to be used in medicine, automobile industry, coatings with photo-catalytic and self-cleaning properties. According to the invention, the process consists in treating a mechanically prepared titanium surface with an 1:1 volumetric mixture of 0.1 M of oxygenated water solution and 0.1 M of sodium hydroxide solution, after which polymeric films are applied by potentiodynamic polymerization in a solution of 0.2 M of pyrrole in 0.2 M of oxalic acid and in the presence of 0.5...5% polyethylene-glycol having a molecular mass of 400, thereby resulting uniform films with adherence to the titanium surface and humectability varying from hydrophilic, with a contact angle of 32.31 ± 2.11°, to super-hydrophilic, with a contact angle of 3.15 ± 0.82°. |
