<p>An apparatus (10) for suspending graphical characters from a base structure (14) that may be integral with a book. The apparatus includes a suspension member (16) constructed from a transparent plastic material and has a plurality of strips (18-26) extending from a base portion. At the end of each strip is a character portion (12). The strips are separated from the base portion so that the characters 'dangle' from the base structure. The outer strips each have an S-shape so that the characters do not overlap with each other. The base structure may be a transparent dome (58) that is pivotally connected to a book. The dome and dangling graphical characters can be placed adjacent to a front book cover or page which have corresponding graphical backgrounds. The dome can be rotated so that the characters can be placed adjacent to different pages of the book.</p> |
