A device for a car or vehicle for improving the road maintenance of the tyre, and to minimize the risks on slippery roads, by automatically projecting studs or other anti-skid devices at the friction surface of the tyre, and by hiding them inside the tyre, to protect the asphalt coating, when they are not needed for improving friction. Each tyre functions either fully independently depending on the driving-conditions, and/or commands from the central control unit. Manual control is also possible. The automaticity, the active stud-system, functions according to the inertia-gyro sensor and readings from the microcomputer. It also initiates the operation, and the retraction of the studs, or the other anti-skid devices, by means of the pressure generator, which is placed at the tyre's hub.
