FIELD: electroplating, in particular, electrochemical deposition of aluminum on steel, copper and brass for protection from corrosion and formation of conducting films. SUBSTANCE: electrolyte contains aluminum bromide, durol and organic solvent xylol in the following ratio, mas.%: aluminum bromide, 30-60; 1,2,4,5- tetramethylbenzene (durol), 15-30; xylol, the balance. Electrolyte is distinguished by simple preparation procedure, available initial substances (durol is gasoline production wastes), usable at room temperature and in absence of inert atmosphere that makes it possible to use it due to its long service life in mechanical engineering and other branches of industry. EFFECT: prolonged service life and increased rate of aluminum deposition. |
