Apparatus for automatically sensing a power saving function is embodied as a digital logic circuit, and is easily made as an integrated circuit. The apparatus detects a horizontal synchronous signal or a vertical synchronous signal, generates a suspend signal or a power-off signal to the CPU. The apparatus includes: a horizontal synchronous signal input part(100) for synchronizing the horizontal synchronous signal(Hsync) to a clock(CLK), and generating an inverting/non-inverting signal; a horizontal synchronous signal detector(200) for detecting an input of the horizontal synchronous signal(Hsync); a horizontal detection signal output part(300) for generating a horizontal power-supply control signal(HPO) according to a horizontal synchronous signal; a vertical synchronous signal input part(400) for synchronizing the vertical synchronous signal(Vsync) to the clock(CLK); a vertical synchronous signal detector(500) for detecting an input of the vertical synchronous signal(Vsync); a vertical detection signal output part(600) for generating a vertical power-supply control signal(VPO) according to the vertical synchronous signal; a control signal output part(700) for generating a power-off signal(PO) and a suspend signal(SUS); and a clock provider(800) for counting the clock(CLK), and providing the clock as a clock of the detectors(200,500). |
