An illuminating or light signalling device (30) including detachable illuminating means (32, 34) and security means (36, 44, 50) secured to the illuminating means (32, 34) and lockable to a vehicle such as a bicycle or the like. Said security means may also be used to immobilise the bicycle. The illuminating means may include a front signalling light source and a rear signalling light source arranged in respective housings (32, 34), and the security means include a mechanical connection (36) such as a steel strip or cable between the housings, and attachment means (42-70) for locking said housings together.
