An apparatus for cleaning and drying glazed or unglazed planar surfaces, comprising a flexible scraping and drying blade with a linear leading or working edge combined with a device for dispensing a detergent composition in the form of a liquid and/or a vapour. Said blade (7) typically incorporates a circuit for supplying said detergent composition and (substantially) depositing same on the surface (S) to be cleaned and dried. Said supply circuit is connected to the dispensing device and includes a single continuous outlet or a number of outlets located along substantially the whole length of said blade (7), adjacent to and underneath the working edge (6) thereof.
