The machine for clearing vegetation is attached to a tractor, which draws it across the ground and consists of a casing (10). The casing is open towards the ground and is fitted with side runners (12,13), which allow it to be drawn over the ground. The casing carries a gearbox (14), which has a shaft (15), roughly vertical, and which is driven in rotation. This vertical drive shaft is used to drive, at its lower end and within the casing, several cutters, which rotate in a horizontal plane close to the ground. The casing is linked to the towing attachment (1), by connecting rods (21), which are linked to the casing and to the towing attachment, by the pivot axes (22,23), which are roughly horizontal and perpendicular to the direction of travel (A).
