A method for providing a line guide on a fishing rod beautiful in appearance with long service life by heat hardening the line guide together with the fishing rod after coating the line guide with the same material as the glass fiber fishing rod. There is a hole (1a) in the fishing rod (1); a line guide (2) of heat resistant synthetic resin has a line hole (2a); an arc contactor (2b) is fitted inside the hole; the line guide and the rod are coated with the coating fabric (3) and heat treated and hardened; a ceramic guide (4) is inserted in the line guide and lapped and painted.
