The electrotechnical device has a flat rectangular housing (1) provided with projecting contact tongues (25,26) which are adjustable relative to one another in dependence on the relative spacing of the battery charge contacts. The contact tongues may be supported via an elongate sleeve (20), receiving a cylindrical element (27,28) associated with one of the contact tongues at either end, allowing adjustment of the relative spacing and the angle of the contact tongues.
