The present invention describes compounds (sandwich-type elements) which have a polyurethane core and at least a coating layer to reinforced plastic material with fiber which produce from (a) a polyurethane core which is the reaction product of a polyisocianate with a polyol composition obtained by chemical decomposition of polyurethane and/or polyurea wastes and that has a number of OH in the middle from 100 to 500 mg of KOH/g, a water content from 0 to 5 percent per weight, and a major viscosity of 2,000 cantipoises (2,000 mPa.s) (20 degree C) and (b) at least a coating layer of a reinforced plastic material with natural fibers. These compounds are useful in the construction of motor vehicles, moveable construction, machine construction and apparatus construction. These are preferably used in the motor vehicle construction, in particular, as molded pieces in the interior of a motor vehicle.
