The object of the invention is a method for handling timber felling waste, a truck being used, which is intended to be hauled behind a tractor, such as a vehicle, a machine or the like. The truck has at least one container 4, comprising a bottom 1, side walls 2 and end walls 3, coupling elements essentially at a first end of the truck, such as a draw bar or the like for coupling the tractor thereto by a power-transmitting method, and preferably moving elements 6 such as wheels, rollers or the like to permit movement of the truck, which are located at least at the second end of the truck. The timber felling waste is gathered together onto a truck, in which the timber felling waste is compressed, in order to transport it still by means of the truck to a place of use, receiving point or the like by road transport.
