The present invention relates to a method and a device for feeding on command the desired type of projectile (21, 34) to an artillery gun (1) from one of several groups of magazine compartments (5, 6, 7). In the present invention the projectiles are retrieved from each compartment through an outfeed aperture in the base of each compartment (27) by a projectile transporter (14) drivable longitudinally and laterally that delivers the projectiles to the loading pendulum (32) of the gun (1). The same projectile transporter (14), which also incorporates an articulated lift (37) for lifting the projectiles in the vertical axis, is also used to replenish the magazine compartments from below. |
