The gear change control has at least one lock formed as a cam (21 or 22) on the change shaft (3). The locking carrier (10) is mounted on the change shaft (3) and is radially set or has a saddle bearing (24), to which the locking cams and the at least one opposing guide (11,11a) are mounted. The bearing (24) has a through opening (17) for the change finger (4). On both sides of the through opening (17) lie the locking cams each with an opposing guide cam connected in the through opening on the longitudinal axis of the bearing.
