摘要 A first substrate includes a gate line extending in a first direction and a source line extending in a second direction. A first sub-common electrode is formed on the gate line. A first main-common electrode is formed along the source line so as to be connected with the first sub-common electrode. A second main-common electrode is formed extending in the second direction and facing the source line. The second main-common electrode is set to the same potential as the first main-common electrode. A second substrate includes a third main-common electrode extending in the second direction so as to face the second main-common electrode. The third main-common electrode is set to the same potential as the second main-common electrode. A second sub-common electrode is connected with the third main common electrode. The second sub-common electrode is formed so as to face the first sub-common electrode on the gate line.

A liquid crystal display device, comprising: a first substrate including: a gate line extending in a first direction,a source line extending in a second direction orthogonally crossing the first direction,a switching element electrically connected with the gate line and the source line,a first interlayer insulating film covering the switching element,a first sub-common electrode formed on the first interlayer insulating film and extending in the first direction, the first sub-common electrode facing the gate line,a first main-common electrode formed on the first interlayer insulating film and connected with the first sub-common electrode, the first main-common electrode extending along the source line in the second direction,a second interlayer insulating film covering the first sub-common electrode and the first main-common electrode,a second main-common electrode formed on the second interlayer insulating film and extending in the second direction so as to face the source line, the second main-common electrode set to the same potential as the first main-common electrode,a main-pixel electrode formed on the second interlayer insulating film and extending in the second direction so as to cross the first sub-common electrode, the main-pixel electrode electrically connected with the switching element, anda first alignment film covering the second main-common electrode and the main-pixel electrode; a second substrate including: a third main-common electrode extending in the second direction so as to face the second main-common electrode, the third main-common electrode set to the same potential as the second main-common electrode,a second sub-common electrode connected with the third main common electrode, the second sub-common electrode extending in the first direction so as to face the first sub-common electrode, anda second alignment film covering the third main-common electrode and the second sub-common electrode, and a liquid crystal layer held between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein in a plan view, the first sub-common electrode is arranged in a position which overlaps with the gate line, the second sub-common electrode is arranged in a position which overlaps with the first sub-common electrode, and the gate line crosses the main pixel electrode at a middle portion of the main pixel electrode along the second direction.
