This invention belongs to the sphere of environmental protection and can be used to cover hydro-technical units, which hold industrial wastewaters. This method consists in preparing synthetic covering, welding separate parts into one, fixing the pipe pontoons to the polyethylene film from the below and gradually carrying part of the covering onto the covered surface. The welding of separate parts, fixation of the pipe pontoons from the below and carrying of part of the covering onto the covered surface are carried out simultaneously.
