PURPOSE:To improve a color development activity enhancement effect significantly and obtain a pressure-sensitive recording sheet capable of an extremely sharp recorded image by thermally mixing zinc salt of nucleus-substituted salicylic acid having a total of more than 8 carbons of a substitution group with at least, either one of zinc hydroxide or zinc carbonate. CONSTITUTION:Zinc salt of nucleus-substituted salicylic acid used ha sat least, one hydrocarbon-substituted group and a substitution group with a total of more than 8 carbons. A mixture of zinc salt of nucleus-substituted salicylic acid and a zinc compound selected from zinc oxide, zinc hydroxide and zinc carbonate is thermally processed. The preferable temperature for thermal processing is within a range of 40 to 220 deg.C, and a processing time depends on temperature and water or the presence of an organic solvent, and is variable over an extensive oragne of 5 sec. to 200 hours. The zinc compound is used at a ratio of 1 to 300 pts.wt. for 100 pts. wt. of zinc salt of nucleus-substituted salicylic acid. |
