Lubricant system for marine thruster. A first (top) lubricant circuit (15) is used to lubricate the top transmission housing (6), and a second (bottom) lubricant circuit (16) is used to lubricate the bottom transmission housing (9), and both circuits are connected to a common oil sump (17). The thruster (3) has a top transmission housing mounted in the boat hull (1), containing a top gearbox (5) with an input shaft (4) coupled to a motor in the boat, and a vertical output shaft (8) extending downwards into a bottom transmission housing. The bottom gearbox (10) in the bottom housing connects the output shaft to at least one propeller shaft (13, 14) with a propeller (11, 12) mounted on it. |
