FIELD: medical engineering; dental prosthetics. SUBSTANCE: device is essentially elastic thread introduced into gum pocket prior to using impression mass. Thread is of wedge-type cross-section, and its end surface contacting the impression mass is made for cohesion with the latter. Thread may be manufactured from light-polymeric plastic with transverse light-tight partition. Device makes it possible to obtain impression following the tooth form precisely.
