The high bar is for fastening between two walls, esp. in a door aperture. The ends of the bar (12) are fitted into special side sections (10,11) with openings and insertion slots for easy height-adjustment and removal. One side section has a random number of insertion slot, and the opposite section has a similar number of openings. The bar and the side sections are of steel, aluminium, or another suitable material. The bar is longer than the distance between the side sections, but shorter than the distance between e.g. the sides of the door opening. The bar is prevented from jumping out by a steel spring or a compressible polymer body.
