PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of a cost by a method wherein a defect in a sublimation type printer that the lengths of ink ribbons of respective colors C, M, Y in the sublimation type printer are depending on the length of a printing paper whereby the ink ribbon and an ink (ribbon) cassette are required to prepare the printing papers having different lengths or a standard size paper and an exclusive paper for panorama or the cassette for respective sizes, for example, is eliminated. SOLUTION: For the purpose mentioned above, an ink ribbon is constituted by a method wherein the lengths of respective color divisions Y, M, C, which are constituting one set, are specified so as to be two times of the maximum length of printable area for a standard paper and respective marks 102, 101, dividing respective color divisions and respective sets, are provided to store them into an ink cassette while the ribbons can be moved in accordance with the divisions of colors and the unit of one set by the detecting papers of respective marks. According to this constitution, printing can be effected on both of the standard paper and the panorama paper.
