PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent in advance a fault which occurs in a system by executing a check by means of a characteristic over the plural records of a data record and specifying an illegal part. SOLUTION: A defining information obtaining device 11 obtains a record structure defining parameter and recognizes an item to be checked and a check condition obtaining device 12 obtains a check contents defining parameter and recognizes a check condition. Then, an initial value setting device 15 sets 1-record reading initial information in data and a differential setting device 16 reads 1 record and sets an increment. The normal value of the succeeding record is obtained based on the second value and the increment and is set on a work area 19. Then, a data reading device 13 reads object data by 1 record, a check object obtaining device 17 obtains the contents of the object item and a characteristic check device 14 compares the setting value of continuous data which is set in the work area 19 with a reading value and checks the characteristic for recognizing continuity. A result output control part 18 outputs an error message concerning a characteristic error detection part.
