PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a down in objects without increasing burden on respective objects even if the number of the objects in a system increases by transmitting a heart beat between the optional objects. SOLUTION: When the object (b) becomes down, the object (a) in adjacent relation detects it. The detection is executed by mutually monitoring the heart beat between the adjacent objects. When the object (a) asks which one of the objects is the one in adjacent relation with the object (b), the object (c) replies to it. The object (a) reports the down of the object (b) to the object (c), permits it to abandon connecting relation with the object (b) and also abandons its own connecting relation with the one (b). Then, the object (a) generates new connecting relation with the object (c). Thus, a link topology from which only the object (b) is missing is constructed.
