FIELD: bridge construction. SUBSTANCE: proposed pier includes foundation and spatial frame superstructure made of prefabricated inclined supporting ferroconcrete components joined with the aid of upper capping and cross diaphragm with formation of upper and lower storeys of pier. Novelty of proposed invention lies in that end sections of supporting components of upper storey are rigidly embedded correspondingly in capping and cross diaphragm. In this case upper storey has four supporting components as minimum whose size of length projection on vertical plane amounts to h1 = (2-1,5)h2, where h1 is size of length projection of supporting components of upper storey on vertical plane; h2 is height of cross diaphragm. Lower storey of pier can also be made of supports and for conditions of effects of ice load, load caused by vessels it can be built up in the form of ferroconcrete solid body having vertical or inclined side surface and fitted with upper spacer that forms cross diaphragm together with upper part of body. Technical result ensured by invention consists in reduction of mass of pier with preservation of its carrying capacity thanks to optimum redistribution of mass over height of pier in accord with efforts taken by its individual components, rigid units and pier as whole system which makes it possible to exclude unjustified overexpenditure of materials, to facilitate erection and to ease working conditions of pier.
