PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering structure capable of improving the workability of operation, in which a core material (a temporarily buried article) such as H-steel is pulled out. SOLUTION: The covering structure contains at least a temporarily buried article and a covering material covering the temporarily buried article, the covering material is composed of a sheet-shaped base material having tensile strength of 1 kgf/2.5 cm or more, and a lubricant layer comprising at least a lubricant is formed onto the surface of the sheet-shaped base material and/or the temporarily buried article. In a covering method, in which the temporarily buried article is covered with the covering material, the temporarily buried article 2 is hung up by using a crane 6 while a cord 3 passed along a block 5 installed at the front end section of the crane 6 is mounted on the covering material 1, the covering material 1 formed in a baggy shape or a cylindrical shape is inserted to the temporarily buried article 2 by putting on from a lower section by pulling the cord 3 by an operator 4, and the covering material 1 is pulled up and fitted and fixed by further drawing the cord 3 by the operator 4.
