PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compsn. for vulcanizing chlorine-contg. polymers which has a capability for improving storage stability. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding a chlorine-contg. polymer with (a) a zeolite compd., (b) a vulcanizing agent, and if necessary (c) a vulcanization accelerator. The zeolite compd. may be one selected from natural zeolites, synthetic zeolites of an A, X, and Z type, sodalites, natural and synthetic mordenites, ZSM-5, and metal substitution products thereof and is pref. an activated zeolite compd. Chlorinated polyethylene in an amt. of 100 pts.wt. is compounded with (a) a zeolite compd. pref. in an amt., of 0.5-30 pts.wt., still pref. 5-25 pts.wt., (b) a vulcanizing agent pref. in an amt. of 0.1-5 pts.wt., still pref. 0.5-3 pts.wt., and (c) a vulcanization accelerator pref. in an amt. of 0.5-3 mol, still pref. 0.7-1.5 mol, per mol of the vulcanizing agent.
