PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke device allowing producing of an emphasized magnetic pole according to purposes. SOLUTION: A sub-coil 7 generates a magnetic field component opposite to each magnetic field component of a horizontal deflection coil 4 and a saddle- shaped vertical deflection coil 5. Diodes connected in parallel to each other in the positive and negative directions can be connected in series to the sub-coil 7, while the diodes and the sub-coil 7 can be connected in parallel to the vertical deflection coil 5. The sub-coil 7 can be connected in parallel to the vertical deflection coil 5 through a variable resister. The sub-coil 7 can be connected in parallel to the horizontal deflection coil 4 through an arched coil or a balance coil inserted therein.
