PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a forward bulging size while maintaining sealing performance. SOLUTION: A push button device includes a push button case 1, a keytop 2 and a seal member 3 mounted at the surface side of a front panel 201 and a push button mounting member 4, a reflector 5, a machine screw 6, a board 7 and a back cover 8 mounted at the back side of the front panel 201. The seal member 3 of semi-transparent silicone resin clamps the periphery of a forward projection 19 fitted to the cylindrical portion of the translucent keytop 2 at the flange of the push button case 1 and the front side of the front panel 201 and floats the keytop 2 by using force of pushing from a push button hole 10 to hold the keytop 2 so as to be pushed slightly inside of the push button hole 10. A rod switching function portion 25 and translucent rod portions (26, 27) are extended from the back of the forward projection 19 toward the board 7 with a switching circuit and light emitting diodes (45, 46) so that a circle mark (28) and a sold-out display (29) are printed on the surface side of the forward projection 19 where the translucent rod portion (26) is extended, and at the portion where the translucent rod portion (27) is extended.
