PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively prevent the perforation of each document and mechanical parts from being damaged by letting a gate part be bent and folded at a joint part as a fulcrum due to a reaction caused by the abutment against the surface of each document when an upper unit is opened/closed while each document is left as is over a document table. SOLUTION: In this document feeding device, a reset gate regulating the tip end position of each document set over a document table, permits a gate part 1d against which the tip end of each document is hit, to be supported so as to be capable of being bent at the joint part 1c, and when the gate part 1d abuts against the surface of each document, any damage to each document and a set gate 1 can be avoided by letting the gate part 1d be bent and folded at the joint part 1c acting as a fulcrum.
