PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the volume of the face blower air for rear seat without enlarging the longitudinal size of the air-conditioning unit with respect to the vehicle or deteriorating the conditioned air distribution function. SOLUTION: In this air conditioning apparatus, even when a center face opening 25 and a face opening 33 for rear seat are closed with a face door 28, conditioned air is introduced to a side face opening 26. The face opening 33 for rear seat is formed laterally with respect to the vehicle along a center face opening 25. Moreover, part of the face opening 33 for rear seat is located inside the face opening 26. As a result, the face opening 33 for rear seat can be closed with the face door 28 at both of the portion extending along the center face opening 25 laterally with respect to the vehicle and the portion located inside the side face opening 26.
