The filter plate (2) has a flat surface resting on a suitably-shaped support surface of the frame (1). Between inner sides (3-5) of the frame and the filter plate there is radial clearance (6). Only the fourth side of the frame (13) is fixed in contact with the edge surface of the plate. Preferred Features: Screw fastening is employed, from the frame exterior through a clearance hole. A connector section is screwed to the frame exterior and includes a supply channel through it. Connection to the filter plate is completed by a tube. Its ends fit recesses of the filter plate and connector and are sealed in, by O-rings. There is a similar outlet connection on the other side. The tube is held axially, by the other connector. O-ring sealing is employed, and the tube end is enlarged and captive between connector and frame. When installed, the rectangular frame (1) does not project beyond upper and lower sides of the filter plate. The resting surface is formed by a radially-projecting flange on the underside. The filter plate has a resting surface on its lower edge which is set back, to rest on the shorter limb of the L-profile of the frame.
