PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deliver reserved merchandise only to a person who brings a normal receipt in a system for delivering the reserved merchandise in exchange for the receipt. SOLUTION: This receipt issuance device 20 ciphers the intrinsic code Bw of the receipt to be issued by a key code Cw obtained by random number generation, prints a cipher pattern corresponding to the ciphered code Ew together with a receipt number Aw and registers the key code Cw in a registration device 35 corresponding to the receipt number. In this receipt authentication device 40, the receipt number Aw printed on the receipt is inputted, the key code corresponding to the receipt number is obtained from the registration device 35, the ciphered code Er is reproduced from the cipher pattern printed on the receipt, the intrinsic code Br is decoded by the obtained key code Cw, the receipt number Ar obtained from the intrinsic code Br and the receipt number Aw printed on the receipt are compared and the authenticity of the receipt is judged.
