PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system that comprises a globe and a holder, and allows relative positioning to an object part for mounting the lighting system such as a wall surface to be easily performed while securing proper engaging force. SOLUTION: In relation to a lighting system composed of a holder 10 for fixing it to a wall surface or the like, a globe 11 that is engaged with and fixed to the holder 10 and is so formed as to cover a light source fixed to the holder 10 this lighting system has engaging protrusions in each of the globe 11 and the holder 10 which generate predetermined engaging force by rotating the globe 11 at a predetermined angle in a predetermined direction, and allow the globe to be further rotated by another redetermined angle while retaining the engaging force.
