PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the transfer speed of a control parameter without deterio rating the performance of the control process by changing over the transfer destination of the control information read out by a control information reading means in accordance with the number of data stored in a holding means. SOLUTION: An MCU 101 is provided with an automatic transfer processing part 102 for DMA transferring the control parameter stored in a memory 15 to an RDC 9, a servo information demodulating circuit 10, a head IC 8 and a DSP 17. The number of transfer data, etc., of a servo parameter supplied to a leading address of a parameter table and the servo information demodulating circuit 10 are stored in a register. When the seek instruction is issued, the parameter transfer process is performed by the automatic transfer processing part 102 without burdening a CPU, and the seek command is immediately issued to the DSP 17 for performing the seek process. The transfer destination is changed over by the leading address of the parameter table selected in accordance with the zone/head number among the control parameter table and by the number of the transfer data.
