PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an unload area based on thermal expansion of a load lamp and increase an effective area of a disk by fixing the load lamp to a base by a fixing bolt via a constrain plate which is a different member from the load lamp. SOLUTION: A constrain plate 3 is set between a fixing bolt 1 and a load lamp 2. The load lamp 2 is fixed to the vicinity of a disk of a base 4 by the fixing bolt 1 via the constrain plate 3. At a non-operation time, a suspension is moved to an outer circumference of the disk, whereby a leading end of the suspension rides over an inclined face of the load lamp 2 thereby retracting a slider to outside an area of the disk. Even when a temperature of the magnetic disk apparatus rises, the constrain plate 3 restricts a thermal expansion of the load lamp 2 and therefore the load lamp is less deformed in a heightwise direction. Accordingly, a position where the slider is loaded to a surface of the disk is less varied and an unload area can be set small.
