PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic warehouse with simple structure for carrying in and out an article safely without storing in a case or the like. SOLUTION: A load transferring device 7 of a moving vehicle is provided with a crawler type free slide belt 11a, and a storage shelf 1 is provided with a similar type free slide belt 11b. When an article 12 is transferred by pushing with an arm or another way like that, the article 12 can move on a surface without slipping. Since the slide belts 11a, 11b are both free, a difference in velocity therebetween is not generated and the article is not shocked.
