PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning material that is easy to work during assembly and disposal, and convenient for transportation and storage. SOLUTION: This cushioning material has a first side wall 21, a second side wall 22 set continuously at the side wall 21 via ruled lines 31, a third wall 23 set continuously at the side wall 22 via ruled lines 32, a fourth wall 24 at the side wall 23 via ruled lines 33, a fifth wall 25 set continuously at the side wall via ruled lines 34 and having a first cut portion 51a formed at its one end and a second cut portion 51b formed at its the other end, first and second fitting members 48a, 48b set continuously at both the ends of the side wall 21 via ruled lines 47a, 47b to be fitted in cut portions 51a, 51b, first and second flaps 41a, 41b set continuously at the fitting members 48a, 48b via ruled lines, and first and second lid members 40a, 40b set continuously at the flaps 41a, 41b via ruled lines.
