PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing device for elevator guide rail capable of attaching a steel material for reinforcement between guide rail mounting brackets continuously. SOLUTION: A plurality of flat plate pieces 10 which have a larger thickness than an instrument mounting bracket 13 and whose right and left end parts protrude from a side of a joint plate 2 by a predetermined dimension are fixed on rear surfaces of guide rails 1A, 1B at a predetermined interval, steel materials 12 are attached to both right and left sides of the flat plate piece 10 in such a way that they protrude on a hoistway wall side at an interval exceeding a width of the joint plate 2, and this steel material 12 is attached by avoiding the joint plate 2 and the instrument mounting bracket 13. Consequently, it is possible to keep the strength required for the guide rail.
