PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability, and prevent the receiving of a strong impact force even if an occupant hits his/her head or the like against an assist grip. SOLUTION: An assist grip is provided with a recessed part 2 formed in an attaching surface 1 in a car room, an attaching plate 3 covering the recessed part 2 and broken by impact, a link 10 having its base end pivotally supported by a front side pedestal 7 fixed to the surface of the attaching plate 3 and fitted in the recessed part 2 together with the front side pedestal 7, and a grip 12 having its rear end supported by the tip of the link 10 and incorporating an elastic body 13 supported so as to slide longitudinally.
