PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the VICS light beacon which can be installed independently of a center device. SOLUTION: The VICS light beam which provides traffic information by a light signal is provided with data 24 to 26 for transmission which represent plural kinds of traffic information, a time zone setting means 28 which sets transmission time zones for the respective pieces of traffic information, a timer means 27 which clocks the time, and a communication control means 21 which selects and outputs the data for transmission of corresponding traffic information and the data for transmission selected by the communication control means 21 is converted into a light signal, which is outputted. The VICS light beacon can provide the traffic information corresponding to the time zones by itself.
