PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at the smooth housing of trimmed selvedges without piling the trimmed selvedges partially and highly, and also preventing an accident such as involving the trimmed selvedges by housing the trimmed selvedges discharged from a loom into a trimmed selvedges-housing box performing linear shuttling movements or swinging. SOLUTION: This trimmed selvedges-housing device for housing the trimmed selvedges 11 discharged and dropped from a selvedges-taking up device 12 of a loom in a trimmed selvedges-housing box 16 is provided by loading the above trimmed selvedges-housing box on a housing box flat car 18 linked as freely making linear shuttle movements through an air cylinder 26 and a rod 24, and making shuttle movements of the car in a direction crossing to the dropping direction of the trimmed selvedges while the trimmed selvedges are discharged from the above trimmed selvedges-taking up device 12, to pile up the trimmed selvedges 11 in the trimmed selvedges housing box 16 uniformly and in relatively dense state.
