PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loom having a 'reed' requiring an extremely short working time for exchanging its comb and an uniform and regular exchanging of the comb over the whole width of the loom, and also maintaining its mechanical durability for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This 'reed' is provided by constituting two supporting surfaces 3 and 12 for supporting the side surfaces of a supporting member 5 for holding teeth 6 of a comb 1 with surfaces of two jaws 10, 11 existing as extended and continuously over the whole width of the 'reed' 2, and also constituting at least one jaw 11 of the jaws 10, 11 so as to be separable from the other jaw 10 with an action of a pressurized fluid existing in a cavity 19 existing as extended over the whole width of a loom under the supporting surfaces 3 and 12.
