PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow mixer which is of a small size and is capable of efficiently mixing fluids and, at the same time, preventing a water hammer phenomenon simply and certainly from occurring. SOLUTION: A casing is formed of a cylindrical member 1 with a first inflow aperture 4, an end member 2 having an outflow aperture 6 and an end member 3 having a second outflow aperture 8. A jet pipe 9 is connected to the second inflow aperture 8 and extends to a spot near the outflow aperture 6 through the casing and has numerous tiny jet holes 11 on the side wall. In the jet pipe 9, a spiral screen 12 is installed which is formed of a spirally formed corrugated metal sheet with numerous punched tiny holes. Further, a deflection member 14 is installed as a whirling means on the inner opening end of the casing of the first inflow aperture 4. The deflection member 14 makes a fluid flowing in from the first inflow aperture 4 flow down along the inner peripheral wall of the casing the makes the fluid whirl between the inner periphery of the casing and the outer periphery of the jet pipe 9. The fluid flowing in from the second inflow aperture 8 gradually slows down, passing through the spiral screen 12, and spews out of the tiny jet holes 11 of the jet pipe 9 to be mixed with the whirling first fluid.
